Spanish Club
Mission and Goals
- To provide an encouraging and safe environment for people who are committed to practicing and studying the Spanish language as well as learning about various Hispanic cultures
- To augment the current Spanish curriculum at WCC by offering study groups and informal tutoring during meetings
- To celebrate the diversity of WCC and actively promote patience, tolerance, and understanding of other cultures by providing a forum for education and healthy debate

- Cinco de Mayo
- Concert at UW to see Lila Downs
- Salsa dance class
- Movie at Pickford
- End of the year pizza party
- Fundraiser to help children in Nicaragua

- Guest speaker from Peru
- 2 Dance Classes
- Valentines Celebration
- Annual Cinco de Mayo fiesta including food, music, and dance class
- Field trip to Seattle Art Museum to view Picasso exit
- Annual Day of the Dead event

- Piñata making
- Developing and practicing Spanish conversational skills
- Listening to short stories (in Spanish)
- Listening to Latin American and Spanish music
- Preparing and eating Hispanic cuisine
- Planning future events/presentations
