The commencement ceremony is held in the spring for graduates of the preceding summer, fall and winter quarters, as well as for applicants of the current spring quarter. Students planning to graduate in the subsequent summer quarter may also participate provided that an application for summer quarter graduation is submitted by the stated deadline. Students must also RSVP that they plan to attend the commencement ceremony (see below for more information).
We will honor your exciting academic achievements during at Whatcom Community College's spring commencement ceremony. There are no tickets, so invite as many friends and family as possible! The ceremony is due to last between 2 to 3 hours.

Late Regalia Orders & Pickup
The last day to order a cap & gown online was Friday, May 8th. Late caps & gowns can be picked up at the bookstore for $40. Late caps & gowns will also be available for purchase the day of commencement next to the check-in tables.

Honor cords are given to all degree graduates who have earned a cumulative college-level GPA of 3.5 or better in at least 45 WCC credits (or a combination of all WCC and transferred-in credits) by the end of winter quarter. The honor cord is paid for by the ASWCCC.
Students who are graduating from Whatcom Community College's Honors Program will have the option of wearing an honor stole. Honor stoles can be purchased from Royal-T the day of commencement near the check-in tables.
Phi Theta Kappa Members
WCC’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter Alpha Xi Nu will provide free commencement cords to new PTK members who accepted their membership during the 2014-15 academic year to recognize their academic achievement. Visit the Student Clubs page for more info. In addition, students can purchase honor stoles and tassels directly from the Phi Theta Kappa International office at http://recognitions.ptk.org.
