The commencement ceremony is held in the spring for graduates of the preceding summer, fall and winter quarters, as well as for applicants of the current spring quarter. Students planning to graduate in the subsequent summer quarter may also participate provided that an application for summer quarter graduation is submitted by the stated deadline. Students must also RSVP that they plan to attend the commencement ceremony (see below for more information).

Regalia Orders & Pickup
Go to https://collegegrad.herffjones.com/ and search for Whatcom Community College. Click on the green 'caps & gowns' tab. The $29 cap and gown package includes a tassel.
The last day to order a cap & gown is Friday, May 8th, 2015. If any issues arise, you may contact them directly at 1.800.837.4235
After a cap & gown has been ordered, you will pick them up in the Syre Student Center June 10th between 10a.m. and 2p.m.

Honor cords are given to all degree graduates who have earned a cumulative college-level GPA of 3.5 or better in at least 45 WCC credits (or a combination of all WCC and transferred-in credits) by the end of winter quarter. Honor cords are distributed with caps and gowns on June 10th in the Syre Student Center. The honor cord is paid for by the ASWCCC.
Students who are graduating from Whatcom Community College's Honors Program will have the option of wearing an honor stole. Honor stoles can be purchased from Royal-T on June 10th in the Syre Student Center.
Phi Theta Kappa Members
Phi Theta Kappa members should purchase honor stoles and tassels directly from the Phi Theta Kappa International office. For more information, visit the PTK web site at http://recognitions.ptk.org.
Non-personalized announcements are available for purchase at the WCC Bookstore.
A professional photographer from Lifetouch National Schools will be taking personalized photos of graduates as you line up to receive your diploma. Your photo will also be taken as you cross the stage. Lifetouch, our official commencement photographer, will have portraits available online approximately ten days after the ceremony.
