The Running Start Program is a partnership between WCC and the high schools in Whatcom County. In this program, eligible high school juniors and seniors enroll in college courses, tuition free, and earn college credits that also apply toward high school graduation requirements.

Why choose Running Start?
To be eligible:

You must be of at least eleventh grade standing, as determined by your public high school. (This also applies if you are attending private schools or receiving home based instruction.)

You must place at or above the English 100 level, as determined by WCC placement tests, and demonstrate proficiency in reading speed and comprehension.
