The Massage program is approved by the Washington State Massage Board, a subsidiary of the Washington State Department of Health.

Whatcom does not offer job placement, per se. There are several resources available to Massage students including job announcements and job seeker guidance in the Career Center. Massage program faculty also will often let graduates know of employment opportunities. Take a look at the Career Advancement and Employment and Licensing sections of the Massage program web pages.

Review the course seqencing for the daytime and the evening programs. You are also invited to meet with an Advisor at any time to discuss your unique situation and goals. Advising sessions can help you develop a quarter-by-quarter plan to get an idea of which classes to take, when you can start and when you will graduate.

...whenever possible, students are encouraged to make as much time available for classes and studying as possible. Students should plan on committing 30-45 hours per week to the Massage program. This includes time in lecture, in the lab, reading, writing, studying, time online...

Throughout the program, students are introduced to many other types of massage and modalities. Most of which can be explored further through continuing education training.
