Daytime Program

Whatcom Community College offers a full-time, Associate in Science Degree Program to prepare Massage Practitioners for immediate employment. The Massage Practitioner degree contains related instruction and general education courses including English, Math, Communication Studies, Psychology or Sociology and electives and practical clinical experience.

Massage core courses must be taken in sequence. The program is a rigorous and academically demanding course of study. It is recommended that students admitted to the Massage program limit their outside obligations as much as possible. The program demands an average of 20 hours per week outside of class on homework assignments. The final quarter of the degree program includes clinical experience off campus.

Eight of the core massage program classes are delivered on-line or in a blended "online/hybrid" delivery format. Online/hybrid courses have the lecture portion of class delivered online and the laboratory portion delivered face-to-face in our dedicated lab. Check with a Program Advisor for information on all courses offered throughout the year and to discuss the online learning experience
