Disability Support
Welcome to Disability Support Services (DSS) at Whatcom Community College. The DSS office in LDC 116K provides accommodation services to qualified students with disabilities in accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Washington State Law.
The DSS Director will work collaboratively with each student to ensure appropriate accommodations or academic adjustments are in place. Students are responsible to identify themselves to the college and to provide clinical documentation regarding the nature and extent of their disability. Requests for services need to be made each quarter by the student. Some accommodations require time to arrange so requests should be made 3 weeks prior to the start of each quarter. Lack of advance notice may delay the availability of some accommodations.

What Students Are Saying About WCC
"Attending Whatcom was a major turning point in my life. Going back to school was scary, but the helpful, approachable instructors and smaller class sizes at WCC made it easy."
