Whatcom Community College's counseling services are able to provide confidential, short-term personal counseling. Our primary goal is to provide students with the necessary academic and personal support to enable them to succeed This goal is accomplished by providing support, clarifying choices, problem solving and accessing community resources. Below are a few of the concerns for which a student might seek counseling:
- Problem solving
- Stress management
- Academic success strategies
- Interpersonal conflict
- Coping with anxiety and depression
- Crisis management
- Career planning
- Referrals to community agencies when needed (i.e. substance abuse, domestic violence, eating disorders, etc.
