Request Transcripts from Prior Colleges

Students pursuing a WCC degree or certificate should submit official academic transcripts from previously attended accredited colleges or universities for evaluation of transfer credits. Forms are available at the Entry/Advising Center or the Registration/Records Office, or you may follow the steps below.

  • Request two copies of your academic transcript from each of your previous college(s). Have one official transcript sent to the WCC Registration/Records Office and a second unofficial copy sent to you for your records. You may be able to access unofficial copies from your previous college’s web site. The unofficial copy can be used for advising purposes until you receive your official evaluation results.
  • Transcripts from previous colleges are not automatically evaluated when received. You must complete and submit a Request for Acceptance of Transfer Credits [PDF] form to the Registration/Records Office. A downloadable version of this form can be found below.
  • Wait for your WCC Evaluation response to be mailed to you. This usually takes 6-8 weeks, but remember that you can use your unofficial transcripts for advising purposes.
  • Make an individual appointment with an advisor in LDC 116 to see how your transferred-in credits will apply to your WCC degree.

Washington’s Community and Technical Colleges (CTC’s) have a Reciprocity Agreement for students transferring within the CTC system. Students who have fulfilled a specific course requirement or entire areas of their degree requirements at another college – for example, Communications Skills, Quantitative Skills or Distribution Area requirements – will be considered to have met those same requirements if they transfer to WCC. Students must initiate the review process and must be prepared to provide all necessary documentation to WCC. Students are subject to WCC’s catalog agreement and must complete the minimum number of credits required for a WCC degree. Your advisor can assist you with this process if applicable.

Important:
If you have credits from colleges outside the United States, please follow the International Transcript Evaluation procedures. If you have additional questions, call one of our WCC Evaluators at 360.383.3036 or 360.383.3037.

Transcripts of high school work are not required except for students who are pursuing the High School Diploma.

Have your official transcript(s) sent directly to:
