High School Completion

The High School Completion program is designed for students who are at least 18 years of age and would like to complete requirements to earn a high school diploma from the community college. For detailed information about diploma requirements, view the High School Diploma [PDF Format] or refer to the official 2008-10 College Catalog.

The High School Completion (HSC) program is a continuous enrollment program offering high school level classes to a diverse population of students. Students work at their own pace with individual guidance from instructors.

The HSC Program offers the following advantages:

  • Self-paced learning in a non-competitive environment
  • Personal contact with instructors and staff
  • Reduced tuition for students age 19 and over
  • Classes offered days and evenings
  • Credit available for work experience and prior learning
  • College credits may be earned while completing diploma requirements

Steps for Getting Started

  • Contact your former high school to get a sealed copy of your transcript.
  • Call the HSC office at Whatcom to make an appointment to meet with an advisor to review your transcript. This will determine what classes you will need to take, how much it will cost, and approximately how long it might take.
  • Register for your first class.

For more information, contact the High School Completion coordinator at (360) 383-3085.
