Adult Basic Education & GED

WCC offers classes for basic reading, writing and math brush-up, and GED test preparation. The following classes are available quarterly.

  • Basic Math
  • Basic Reading and Composition
  • Education and Career Planning
  • Short-term Employment Bridge Classes
  • Basic Computer Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet

Tuition & Fees

  • $25 tuition per quarter for students enrolled in ABE, ESL and GED classes. Students may apply for a waiver of tuition, based on financial need.
  • $75 fee for GED testing / $5 to retest

New Student Orientations (required)

To get more information about the program and to enroll for classes, new students must attend one of the following 2-day orientation sessions. Students must attend both days of an orientation session.

Students 16 - 18 year olds will need a Request for Approval to Test form from their school district before registering for classes.

IBEST

IBEST is a program that provides extra support for ABE students in professional/technical programs such as Medical Assisting, Billing & Coding, NAC & Business courses.
