Study Abroad
Whatcom Community College is a member of the Washington State Community College Consortium for Study Abroad (WCCCSA) and partners with providers such as the Center for Academic Programs Abroad (CAPA) and the American Institute for Foreign Studies (AIFS). The college offers several opportunities for student learning that occur in other regions of the world (Europe, Central America, and Africa). These programs are very experiential in nature; students learn subject matter in a unique way and increase their cross-cultural communication skills and global knowledge. Students report that the experiences are often "life changing."
Spend an exciting quarter in England, Italy, Costa Rica or South Africa and earn credit toward your degree. Some financial aid and scholarships are available. For details, visit the Study Abroad webpage on the International Students website.
