The online Stafford Loan application is currently available. If you have received notice from our office, you can proceed here with your Stafford Loan Application. DO NOT APPLY until you have received information from our office regarding your eligibility for Stafford loans at WCC. Applications completed before students are actually awarded and/or notified will be automatically deleted.
FAFSA
Students attending WCC may be eligible for financial assistance through Federal, State or local programs. To be considered for priority funding, students must submit the FAFSA by March 1st and complete all other application requirements by June 15 for the following academic year. Applications completed after this date will be considered for remaining available funds.

To have financial aid determined in time for registration, the following quarterly deadlines apply:
For Fall:
FAFSA should be submitted by March 1st
Remaining application requirements must be done by June 15th
For Winter:
FAFSA should be submitted by September 1st
Remaining application requirements must be done by November 1st
For Spring:
FAFSA should be submitted by December 1st
Remaining application requirements must be done by February 1st
For Summer:
FAFSA should be submitted by March 1st of the same year the student will attend summer quarter
Remaining application requirements must be done by May 1st
Online Classes: Faculty "Signature" Required
All students receiving financial aid at Whatcom Community College are required to attend each class at least once and obtain a faculty signature confirming their attendance and participation before financial aid checks are released. Students who are receiving financial aid and taking online courses must still provide faculty "signature," confirming the student's active participation in their online course(s). Faculty are asked to click on the following link and complete the form to meet this requirement for the student. (When the File Download Dialog box appears, click "Open")

Veteran's Benefits
WCC offers degree programs approved for students who are eligible for Veterans Benefits under VA Education Benefit programs. Contact WCC's Financial Aid Office as early as possible before enrolling.
