About Whatcom Community College
Excellent location. Diverse programs. Committed faculty. Outstanding services.
Bailey, Robin
Coordinator/instructor for Turning Point, the Whatcom Life Transitions Program (formerly displaced homemaker program). Individuals are invited to call to find out if they're eligible for services. Workshops and classes are offered four times during the year. The goal of each class is to help individuals determine the type of work they will find meaningful and which will provide a living wage, and how to get the education/training required to get work in that field. The focus is on identifying skills and attributes, learning about job trends and the resources available in our community, creating an action plan and practicing resume writing and interviewing. Classes are free!
