The Visual and Performing Arts Department is a vital and creative component of Whatcom Community College. The department includes the following disciplines: Art History, Drama, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, and Music. Through studio, performance and academic course offerings, our objective is to fulfill the needs of both pre-arts majors and students pursuing their Associate in Arts and Sciences transfer degree. Under the aegis of the Visual Arts, we offer a professional/technical program in Visual Communications, and a foundations curriculum that serves both visual communications majors and fine art transfer students.
