Through the Washington State Community College Consortium for Study Abroad (WCCCSA) Whatcom Community College offers study abroad programs to many destinations around the world. WCCCSA, in cooperation with providers like the American Institute for Foreign Studies (AIFS), offers specially tailored programs for first-time international travelers. Support includes pre-program advising, a pre-departure orientation, as well as in-country support throughout the study abroad program.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." -- Mark Twain, 1857

"Studying abroad in Australia and New Zealand was the best experience of my life! You get to see the most beautiful cities, meet life-long friends and have the adventure of your lifetime. I highly recommend this program." -- Ava Larsen, 2012 WCC participant
