Evening Program

Whatcom Community College offers a full-time, associate in science degree program to prepare massage practitioners for immediate employment. The massage practitioner degree contains related instruction and general education courses including English, math, communication studies, psychology or sociology and electives and practical clinical experience.

Massage core courses must be taken in sequence. The program is a rigorous and academically demanding course of study. It is recommended that students admitted to the massage program limit their outside obligations as much as possible. The program demands an average of 20 hours per week outside of class on homework assignments. The final quarter of the degree program includes clinical experience off campus.

Costs

Cost of the Massage program can be found by clicking here. This information is hosted by Career Bridge. As costs and information can and will change, be sure to contact the massage program or an advisor for the most current information for planning the funding of your education.

Winter and Spring quarters

There are no required massage therapy (MT) courses during winter and the second spring quarters. For students continuing on to the fourth and final quarter, Whatcom recommends the following:

  • Complete the Financial Aid application for summer quarter. Summer quarter is the first quarter of the next academic year
  • Complete any remaining general education requirements for your associate's degree. Connect with an advisor to determine what courses you have left to complete
  • Start the MBLEx massage licensing exam process.
